This is the Full Deal document, which was signed on 17 December 2020.
This mission was discussed, developed and agreed by the partners and stakeholders. Its purpose is to give clarity for all the partners and to external bodies engaging with the partnership as to the central purpose in developing and implementing the Regional Skills Investment Plan (RSIP).
The Tay Cities Region (TCR) describes the area of East Central Scotland covered by the local authority areas of Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross and the north-east part of Fife. The region is home to almost 500,000 people, around 10% of Scotland’s population.
Over the coming years, the four distinct areas that line the River Tay - Angus, Dundee, North East Fife, Perth and Kinross - have a significant opportunity to collectively grow the volume and value of tourism to the Tay Cities Region.
A new Regional Economic Strategy is being developed for the Tay Cities Region. As part of the strategy development process, a Screening Report was carried out to determine whether the strategy is likely to have significant environmental effects and therefore required a full Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) under the Environmental Assessment (Scotland) Act 2005.
